Richard Prince’s provocative works offer a fresh, disrepectful view of images from popular American culture: shallow, chauvinistic jokes, biker blondes stretching their limbs, manly Marlboro cowboys. Although his pictures offer no commentary, they expose an utterly cold, hyper-American reality in amusing caricatures.
Three typical works are united in the C-print Joke, Girlfriend, Cowboy, which we are pleased to offer in a limited edition.
