Stefan Marx
"I Was Happy for a Day” - The type works by artist Stefan Marx captivate with their urgency and tragicomicpoetry. In recent years, Stefan Marx has been experimenting at Björn Wiede's Berlin-basedsilkscreen print studio. He used the hand screen as a paint carrier, from which the colors were transferred directly onto the underlying canvas or paper. This process undermines the logic of the printing process and creates fascinatinguniques that are more comparable to paintings or drawings.
For our edition, Stefan Marx worked with intense color pigments and contrasts, such as pink and red, neon green and blue, and day-glo colors. The result is an attractive studio series that we are pleased to release to accompany the new publication Monotypes / Monotypien.
