This edition is published on the occasion of the graphic novel The 5 Lives of Hilma af Klint, for which Philipp Deines narrates stations from the life of the now world-famous Swedish painter in five chapters. The selected motifs are three particularly expressive drawings, each of which marks a turning point in the story in the book and in a congenial way transfers Hilma af Klint's pictorial cosmos into its own visual language.
PHILIPP DEINES (*1980) is an illustrator and artist. He has run an art offspace, creates posters for techno clubs, designs fashion, and exhibits his work in an art context. In 2021, he temporarily moved his studio to the Berlin auction house Grisebach. This is his first graphic novel.

Diese Edition erscheint anlässlich der Graphic Novel Die 5 Leben der Hilma af Klint , in der Philipp Deines in fünf Kapiteln Stationen aus dem Leben der heute weltberühmten schwedischen Malerin erzählt. Die ausgewählten Motive sind drei besonders ausdrucksstarke Zeichnungen, die jeweils einen Wendepunkt in der Geschichte markieren und auf kongeniale Weise Hilma af Klints Bildkosmos in eine eigene Bildsprache übersetzen.
Die Wiederentdeckung von HILMA AF KLINT (1862–1944) gilt als eine der größten Sensationen in der Kunst der letzten Jahre. In internationalen Ausstellungen wurde ihr Werk gefeiert, seitdem erhält sie endlich eine gebührende Würdigung als bahnbrechende Künstlerin und Vorreiterin der Abstraktion.
PHILIPP DEINES (*1980) ist Zeichner und Künstler. Er hat einen Kunst-Offspace betrieben, designt Poster für Technoclubs, entwirft Mode und stellt seine Arbeiten im Kunstkontext aus. 2021 verlegte er sein Studio temporär ins Berliner Auktionshaus Grisebach. Dies ist seine erste Graphic Novel.
