Veronika Kellndorfer
Exterior and interior dreams – blueprints for modern living

Veronika Kellndorfer (*1962 in Munich) lives and works in Berlin.

Studied at the Hochschule für angewandte Kunst in Vienna and the Universität der Künste in Berlin. Fellowship at Villa Massimo in Rome in 2005.

Layering is a guiding principle in Veronika Kellndorfer’s art. The individual layers of glass and semi-transparent foils she creates with the aid of projection and silkscreen techniques interact to produce new levels of meaning. In this way, she establishes links between inside and outside, transposing outside images into building interiors in her site-specific installations or merging interior and exterior views into an indivisible whole.

The sintered silkscreen prints by Veronika Kellndorfer selected for our collector’s edition show several different details of a photograph of the window façade of the Eames Case Study House taken by the artist during her stay in Los Angeles.
