Willi Baumeister (Stuttgart 1889–1955 Stuttgart).

Studied at the Stuttgart Akademie under Adolf Hoelzel; became friends with Oskar Schlemmer; met Le Corbusier, Fernand Léger, and Ozenfant in Paris in 1924. 1928-1933: instructor at the Städelschule in Frankfurt am Main. We are pleased to be able to present the last lithograph completed by Willi Baumeister shortly before his death in August 1955 as an exclusive Collector’s Edition. This brilliantly composed, strikingly colored print was made in 1964 from stones prepared by the artist, characterized by islands of yellow, red, and light-blue against a whitish-gray ground. The numbered prints have been certified by Margarete Baumeister and bear the printer’s stamp and the signature of Erich Mönch, director of the printing shop at the Stuttgart Akademie, on the reverse.

Collector's Editions will be shipped upon receipt of payment (including postage and handling) or credit card authorization.
