Flowers are a recurring element in his repertoire. The motif of the edition shows a rose as the protagonist in front of a deep blue sky. Through the special perspective, the artist awakens the anthropomorphic spirit of the flower, which in its own reflection turns into a three-dimensional assemblage. A figure looking at its own counterpart. A deception, an illusion that asks the viewer to choose between reality and fantasy.

Das Motiv der Edition zeigt eine Rose als Protagonistin vor einem tiefblauen Himmel. Durch die besondere Perspektive erweckt der Künstler den anthropomorphen Geist dieser Blume. Sich selbst spiegelnd wird sie zur allansichtigen Skulptur. Eine Figur, die sich von sich selbst abwendet und ihr eigenes Gegenüber anschaut. Eine Täuschung, eine Illusion, die den Betrachter auffordert, sich zwischen Wirklichkeit und Fantasie zu entscheiden.
MARIUS GLAUER (*1983) ist ein deutsch-norwegischer Künstler. Er studierte an der Universität der Künste Berlin bei Josephine Pryde und an der Parsons School of Art and Design, New York. Seine Werke wurden in internationalen Institutionen und Ausstellungen gezeigt. Er lebt und arbeitet in Berlin und Oslo.
