Richard Prince
Women

Richard Prince (*1949 in Panama Canal Zone) lives and works in Upstate New York.

1985, 1987 und 1997 Biennial Exhibition, Whitney Museum of American Art, New York. 1992 DocumentaIX, Kassel. Numerous solo exhibitions worldwide.

The unusual works of Richard Prince are veritable exhibition magnets. Absurd and comical but in bitter earnest, they allude to advertising legends and images from the netherworld of popular culture. Prince rephotographs the Marlboro Man and half-naked blondes or paints images from magazine cartoons. Offered without comment, his appropriated set pieces reveal more about the state of our world than many scholarly studies.

We are pleased to be able to offer one of his works on the theme of women as a C-print in a limited Collector’s Edition.

Collector's Editions will be shipped upon receipt of payment (including postage and handling) or credit card authorization.
