Pablo Picasso (1881, Málaga, Spain – 1973, Mougins, France) is one of the most famous artists of the twentieth century, known to us as a pioneer of Cubism, through his involvement with Surrealism, as well as through the unique formal vocabulary he employed in his paintings, sculptures, and graphics.
To commemorate the fiftieth anniversary of his death, Hatje Cantz is publishing a book in June that shows Picasso's everyday life from a very personal perspective.
